This is obviously an attempt to manipulate the Presidential Election by their own blatant admission that:  "Although the investigation is far from concluding, French has suggested it may culminate in an “October surprise,” perhaps even Palin's impeachment as Governor-- a game-changing outcome that would certainly increase the Democrats chances of winning the White House in November.

The final report, which French has already described as “damaging,” is set to be released on October 31, four days shy of the presidential election. Since the investigation began last August, there have been disputes over the timing over the report’s release, as Therriault mentioned. Although there’s been general agreement that Branchflower should conduct his investigation in a “timely” fashion, some Democratic politicos, like French, have been pushing for an October deadline."

There should be a law against the attempt by any person or political party to manipulate a "Presidential Election" by witholding and purposefully releasing any negative or positive information specifically designed to sway or confuse the electorate within 40 days of the date of the election.  To do so obviously prevents the opportunityfor a fair investigation, defense and/or response by the person or party effected.

There has to be a legal way to enjoin and stop this from happening now or anytime in the future, and to simultaneously expose this wicked plan on the part of the opposing party for what it is.  Let the American people decide whether or not they want to support this type of politics on the part of either political party.
